Dr. Dexter Nguyen
DDS
Dr. Nguyen graduated Magna Cum Laude Top 4% with his Bachelor of Sciences in Biological Sciences at the University of California Irvine in 2011 and with Honors from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2017. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Society, and Xi Phi Psi Dental Society.
Dr. Nguyen’s field of expertise ranges from dental implants, implant dentures, extractions/oral surgery, crowns, bridges, complex endodontics, and Invisalign aligners. His favorite part of dentistry would have to be implants. Dr. Nguyen has been placing implants since 2017 and continues to stay at the cutting edge of implant technology and techniques. Hobbies include Ultrarunning, Ironman Triathlons, 100-mile bike rides, videography, photography, and powerlifting. Notable events include 100-mile Bryce Canyon run, Ironman Boulder, Ironman Lake Tahoe, and Ironman Sacramento. “I aim to ensure that every patient understands exactly what type of treatment is warranted and more importantly, why that treatment is warranted. Patient education is important to me because it is the driving factor of encouraging patients to maintain and sustain their oral health for the long haul. In terms of your dental treatment, I will not allow any treatment that passes through my chair to be nothing less than clinically acceptable. I take pride in my work and cannot sleep well unless a job is well done. No mouth is too difficult or complex to manage and improve”. -Dr. Nguyen

I like to travel, love to read, and listen to a wide variety music, watch plays, and playing tennis when I can. One of my favorite trips was to Sydney, where I climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Spending time with my friends and family is how I recharge myself, and my two favorite people are my adorable niece and nephew. Dentistry, to me, is the perfect blend of art, and science. It’s an artform that can give back, and enhance a patient’s confidence and allow them to soar. I treat each patient as I would a member of my own family, with the utmost care, and compassion. To provide them with the best possible care, I’m always taking CE’s to further my skills and techniques.
Patient education, is at the heart of my treatment planning. I want each and every patient to leave with the knowledge of exactly what they need, and more importantly the why behind it, so they can achieve the healthy, and or cosmetic smile they seek. I take pride in my work, and always strive to give my very best each and every time. Whether it’s their first, second, or last crown, or implant etc., I aim to make it the best possible experience for them.
